Kimberly Burton, PhD
Study Director
Kimberly Burton’s professional life began as a research professor at the University of Washington where she conducted medical research for more than 20 years. Dr. Burton has a deep interest in understanding the causes of disease. This interest became very personal when she joined the Intensive Trial of Omics (ITOMIC) study team at the Center for Cancer Innovation at the University of Washington in 2013. Kimberly joined the South Sound CARE Foundation in 2019.
“Like many, I have been touched by cancer and greatly appreciated the opportunity to participate in this groundbreaking clinical trial. When the trial moved from the University of Washington to the South Sound Care Foundation, I wanted to continue with this work in hopes of providing clinical trial opportunities for women faced with the difficult diagnosis of cancer.”
